As Senior Publicist for Harrison and Shriftman, R.J. managed Mercedes-Benz, Hard Rock Hotel, GQ, and National Amusements accounts (working directly with Shari Redstone). While serving as West Coast Publicity Director for Lizzie Grubman/Peggy Siegal, R.J. managed key corporate accounts including: Chanel, Pamela Dennis, AOL, and adidas. He also produced launch parties for KOBE/adidas, Chanel, Pamela Dennis, Sisqo’s Billboard Awards Party, and the Launch of Lucky Magazine.

More recently, as a partner and EVP of Communications & Marketing at RFPR, R.J. has produced and managed: The Warhol Factory x Levi's® x Damien Hirst Spring 2008 Fashion Show at the Gagosian during New York Fashion Week, the launch of Samsung’s Diane Von Furstenberg’s cell phone for Vogue Magazine, Crustacean’s 10 year Anniversary, the opening of AnQi Gourmet Bistro in South Coast Plaza, the launch of the Levi’s® brand´s “Care to Air” program, the launch of Suite 501® at the Ace Hotel, Twalib Kweli’s album release party, ChocolateBox Café’s Grand Opening at the Malibu Lumber Yard, amongst many others.

As the lead executive for the entertainment agency of Levi Strauss and Co® on the West Coast for over 8 years, R.J. has managed entertainment and lifestyle public relations for the fashion powerhouse while spearheading national programs and devising intuitive ways of garnering publicity and exceeding expectations. R.J. is also the celebrity liaison for Levi’s® Private Showroom in Los Angeles. In that capacity, R.J. has personally created alliances for Levi’s® with A-list talent and top stylists. R.J.’s role is to facilitate and manage the relationships between Levi’s® and the media while working with top stylists and their celebrity clients.

In its 9 years in business, RFPR has earned an incomparable reputation in the public relations world. International brands such as Samsung and Dockers regularly call on RFPR and R.J. to handle their public relations needs, especially in the lifestyle and celebrity world. RFPR worked with Samsung on the New York and Los Angeles premiere of their first mobile-oriented film, “Across the Hall”, starring Adrian Grenier. Additionally, R.J. handled all public relations and production efforts for the worldwide launch of the Dockers® premium line at the famed American Rag Cie.

RFPR’s clients enjoy amazing levels of exposure not only in regional publications but on national television shows like E!’s “Daily 10”, The Today Show and Dr. Phil. Perhaps this is why, in RFPR’s first year of business, R.J. was named as someone you "must know" in Los Angeles by L.A. Confidential Magazine and Angeleno listed R.J. as a “Hollywood heavy hitter” in one of its first issues. R.J. has also been called to moderate panels at Digital Hollywood Conference, and give quotes for the New York Times Style Section and People Magazine.

R.J. realizes that the public relations business is not just about throwing a great party, but getting the brand or talent covered by national and local media and keeping them top of mind, coming up with creative pitch angles, solid follow-through, and patience.
